Adopts Paul Whitehouse (FAST SHOW) Football Manager voice
Anybody fancy a mad poets' day out at the seaside ? Sand , shingle, sun and surf. Ice cream cones by the pier ? Mussells and Cockels in yer cossie ? Sandcastles and sideshows ! Marvellous ! Cheeky postcards and kiss me quick hats! Candy floss and suck on yer rock stick. Couldn't be better for sniffing up the ozone !!! Saucy stamps and sand in yer toes invigorates the poems and the Ploes. Deckchairs tuppence a throw, handkerchief tied in four corners on yer bonce, dungarees up to yer armpits...Byron over fish 'n' chips who called me a ponce !!! Slip in a bidda skinnydipping and a paddle by the pier watching cheeky seagulls and and thruppence for a bottle o' beer....

I've always wanted to go on a traditional seaside holiday with the knotted hankerchiefs and such. I was even looking up beach hotels as a possibility for next summer anyway if Ploe wanted to come with me.
The nearest beach to me is Ayr and every time we go for the day it's too windy and it used to be smelly to boot. We end up sat in huge jackets eating sandwiches with runny noses. =/
I'd adore a trip to the happy sand and sea in the sunshine.

Thank you for support Vixor...you can even bring along your little blue watering can and fill a moat for yer sandcastle. A magical mystery bus to Brighton or Bridlington. No doubt it 'll be pissing down with rain but that's what UK holidays are for....
SINGING:

I'm usualy a recluse but please count me in. If I can ever get a day off work (will you lot stop eating meat and making me work so hard) then I'll certianly go. I have been on these trips as a child and it will bring back fond memories. Plus it'll be interesting to meet some of my fellow poets and painters.
I tell you what I'll use my economic might. Goldberg, book me a place on that trip and I'll buy you a corneto.

Do you hear that UD members ? The daytrip has just incurred a somewhat higher tarriff than a day return to Blackpool...Dandy will be providing the camels. Glad you didn't say Tangiers that's where Joe Orton went with the two Kenneths.
