The trunk looks like some mutant frog that's in agony.  That's awesome.  I think the choice of black and white was a good one.

You come down 'round Savannah you in my neck of the woods.  Was the picture taken in Savannah or somewhere along the way?

that's one gnarly tree! I love how intense the twists and turns seem.. almost as though the tree is trying to escape it's very being..
