Oceans and glass tanks

Brushing pens over paper in the confines of my glass tank,
I stare out of my frosted glass at the spanned ocean
The deep, clear, crystal disguises the hidden worlds beneath,
Siren songs mimic the poetry of words unspoken
A strength and passion licks the shore and the tears grace my face

My brain bleeds blue across the page, troubled and turbulent
The trenches stay hidden from your eyes
Only the uncontrollable shines through
I’ll be free
As long as I keep you from seeing
