Turn on the light, bring in the coal;
memories cast out now converge in the dark.
I wish to re-stoke my fire, it seems so long ago
yet it is simply my night when the minutes
seem to stretch into hours. Immured and cold.

Let me regain the warm embrace of old,
mysteries to garner, ancient paths to walk.
The whisper of the brook by the thawing meadow,
green stigmata on the white of this planet.
Winter to Spring to vital burgundy and gold.
