So, one of the biggest thangs doing the rounds at the moment is that the world will end / undergo huge changes on the winter solstice December 21, 2012.
This is largely because this is the date that the Mayan calendar ends, combined with interpretations of predictions from a few other cultures. I don't believe any of it so far, but I'm interested to hear opinions on it. Anyone?

I don't believe it either, although it is interesting to attempt to predict things that may happen.

Yeah, I know, Wikipedia is unreliable, but the article is comprehensive enough while being unbiased.

Wiki can be unreliable, although they do cite much of their information.
