Hello. I'm Richard from Manchester. I write poetry.

Poets I enjoy reading are Charles Olson, Frank O'Hara, William Carlos Willaims, J.H. Prynne, Allen Fisher, Iain Sinclair and Caroline Bergvall.

Perhaps my favourite contemporary poet though, at the moment, is Sean Bonney.

Most of my stuff tends to be either free-verse or English Linguistically Innovative inspired.

I'm also a fan of Mark E Smith and The Fall.

After all this time, I've only just realized I hadn't actually introduced myself. My apologies. And Hola!

My names Gemma, but prefer to be called Gem, or Jules. I write mainly poetry, if thats what you consider it, but sometime longer pieces, and mainly coming from quite a dark place, although my words in no way reflect my personality. I consider myself not very good, in terms of my writing, although I've been told otherwise, hence why I don't post as often as I should, though I hope to change that Smiley

Hello everyone, I'm Keith.

I live in Morris, Oklahoma and go to the nearby OSU Institute of Technology. I love poetry and music because it can reach me on a more emotional level than anything else. When I write poetry I write in 4 line stanzas and with a varying number of stanzas. I guess you could call it free form. My poetry is typically dark or sad but that's just the kind of poetry I'm into. I'm here to read other artist's work and to learn how to improve my work. I look forward to hearing your judgments.  Smiley

Welcome to UD, Keith. Good to have you here.

What is it that you study at OSU? For a bunch of poets and artists, we're overly interested in techie subjects... which other poetry forum has a Singularity Forum?
