Anything in particular? If not a god, then perhaps a candle or something? I've never really worshiped anything, but if I was, it would probably be the sun. Probably a most obvious god, but a tangible one as well (at least to a degree). Although I occasionally worship this little limestone elephant incense holder my sister gave me. On a partially relevant note, I just read where India is marketing a drink with cow urine to one day rival Pepsi and Coca Cola. Sounds yummy. I also learned the Indian gov't has a Cow Protection Department. What a world. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/cow-urine-drink-to-rival-western-sodas-1607894.html

Ya know Will there's two things you gotta understand...worship and faith. An there's a difference. When you've lost everything and it's all gone wrong you can place faith in a tin o' tuna, last Wednesday's newspaper, a cushion cover, the cat purring.
The moment you start to WORSHIP boy you'd betta look out. Those false gods crumble like so much stardust. Self worship Will it's the ONLY way forward. Ask my hallway mirror.
While me and Persephone were surviving in the outback, making out, baking beaver and toasting toad we sure as heck had our faith in mother nature and our fig leaves and little else...when the bombs drop that's all you're gonna have...

I believe in Allah. I hate many so-called muslims who go round bombing innocent people and beating thier wives. Anyone for an arguement over God or religion can come right to me.

The foremost world religions? Same God, different prophet.
I worship myself, my woman and my life. But they're all the same thing...

I agree with you Will, the sun is the most reasonable thing as a God. We know its there, it gives us life, without it, what is possibly the only source of life in the universe is gone.

Then use your artistic talents and come up with a good myth to strike fear into the hearts of your sheep. You write children's books, no? What a perfect medium.

I hate to rabble on about this....But there is a perfectly biological, evolutionary explanation to a humans tendency for worship, of any sort. "The God Delusion". Aside the slightly provocative title, it is not so much an attack on religion, but more a personal insight coming from a biologist who has devoted his life to the study of evolution.
For that reason, I do not worship anything.
