Opus Independents presents;
Word Life at the Lantern Theatre, 27th February, Doors 8pm, Show 8.30pm.

Word Life celebrates the launch of Ben Wilkinson's new pamphlet 'The Sparks' (published by Tall Lighthouse) at the Grade II listed Lantern Theatre.

Also reading are Helen Mort - Winner of the Foyle Young Poet of the Year Award on five occasions between 1997 and 2004 and winner of the 2007 Eric Gregory award.

Geraldine Monk - Since the late 1970s, her poetry has been published in many anthologies and publications, most recently appearing in the Anthology of 20th Century British and Irish Poetry.

Noel Williams - a lecturer at Hallam's Creative Writing MA, his work has appeared in several poetry magazines, including Now Then.

Matt Black - Experienced performance poet known for his humour and high energy. Has published childrens books and leads his own poetry workshops.

Matt Clegg - received an Eric Gregory Award in 1997, and was a Wordsworth Fellow at Dove Cottage, Grasmere, from 1999-2001. His most recent pamphlet is nobody sonnets (2008) available from Longbarrow Press.

Joe Kriss (Word Life) - Has run Wordlife since November 2006, is the creative writing editor of 'Now Then' and has appeared at the Tate Modern, Roundhouse Theatre, and Winter Gardens.

Followed by a live acoustic performance from one of Sheffield's finest singer/songwriters Louis Romegoux.

An intimate setting for the launch of one of Sheffield's most exciting new poets. Please note this is a seated event, and the performance will start promptly. Tickets £3.50 on the door. To reserve seats email wordlifeuk@gmail.com
