"The water of the Gulf stretched out before her, gleaming with the million lights of the sun. The voice of the sea is seductive, never ceasing, whispering, clamoring, murmuring, inviting the soul to wander in abysses of solitude" (Kate Chopin- The Awakening)

The ending to Chopin's book is one of the most beautiful, touching pieces of writing. Edna Pontellier walks naked, out into the sea that enfolds her body in its "soft, close embrace". She drowns in its sensuous swell... For Edna, the sea is irresistable. It is natural, free and inviting...

We invite you to see our irresistable selection of artists, musicians and Dj's at The Green Room for free this late January eve.

SAMUEL KIRK
A rare artist that is just so good you can't understand how you ever lived without them. His songs echo the soft, rhythmic swell of the sea. They're perfectly intricate and beautiful, sung by one of the most delicate and exquisite voices around. I recently attended my aunt's funeral, and I was asked to write a poem. As she lived by the seaside I used Samuel Kirk's 'Song For Bailey' as inspiration. It's a phenomenally beautiful song...

REBECCA COLLINS
Rebecca Collins is utterly bewitching, with an enticing voice that dances through the dark emotions of the mind. Her alluring blend of blues, folk and jazz is truly georgeous, haunting music, backed by her bands intelligent, twisting melodies. Utterly compelling, and not to be missed...

CAM DEAS

I'll probably just play 'If I could read your mind' by Gordon Lightfoot on repeat. However, if I mix it up it will most likely include Rod Thomas, Joel Harries, My First Tooth, The Rosie Taylor Project, Ellie Goulding and Jose Gonzalez...
