I've recently been tucking into Age of Empires 3, about three years after release, and I was wondering what games everyone 'round here is into.

i'm currently playing fallout 3 on xbox 360.
also i will ward anyone from buying fable 2. the biggest over-hyped piece of shit i've ever witnessed. luckily i bought the limited edition, and the bonus disc was broken, so for the extra 10 bucks i got an excuse to return the game for full money back. (which is how i ended up with fallout 3)

I'm a sort of peripheral game player. Don't do much of it now. I went through a phase years ago of finding a cost effective alternative to going to the pub. I did . It was X Box . I became quite at buff at Rainbow Six ( that's an SAS storm and shoot style anti terrorist game). I became cyber hardened in it ...cos in that game it's v. much like the real thing ..one hit or false move and you're "dead". No second chances. I practiced a lot and excelled at it. I did have a rather erm... dubious obsession with Lara Croft (what a mover) when she appeared and DOOM has a sort of nostalgia appeal for me as it's the one which started it all off. Apparently the guy who designed her during a bored lunch hour never got a penny from it. To me the Angelina Jolie films just don't match the pixel possibilites of the game. In fact I dont think any comic book heroes translate to big screen somehow. Plus I'm actually against all that anway...the uglier part of the American "Superman" psyche.
DESTROY ALL HUMANS ! is by far the best...where you play an invading alien in 50's America and the extra characters all walk round with Beehive hairdos or uttering macho claptrap with hilarious corny expressions like an Irish Cop who says "You have right to get your ass kicked" or "What more could a man want but a homey wife and a shed full o' power tools"....
Then I grew up.

I love the Age of Empire series. Of course when my head's moving kind of slow, I have to resort to the turn based Civilization IV. Other than that I play any FIFA games and golfing games. I find vidyah game golf to be much less frustrating than the actual game.

I can't be bothered with Civ most of the time, it's painfully slow, and all things like that are best when they're multiplayer. We should go head to head on Age sometime. It'll be a pain in the arse though because I'm not playing by "officially" if you catch my drift? PGA Golf Tour II on the Mega Drive. My family used to steal the machine for nights in a row just to play it. One conversation I remember them vividly having was it's sad to play golf in the real world. They also said fishing is sad. I'm inclined to agree.

I've discovered why it's harder for women to play golf in the real world. Things get in the way of the swing... No fair!
I used to like that PGA Golf game. I was alright at it!

Just discovered Duel Masters: Kaijudo Showdown. A dumbed down version of the trading card game Magic: The Gathering, with elements of the Pokémon TCG. It's pretty SWEET.

lmfao. 'tis better to make your own, lest you get stuck with a crappy story line and bad acting. (i would like to thank catholic school, my parents, and society for that last remark.)

Catholic school...the perfect "alternative" porno setting. Back Door Choir Boys starring Father Rodrigo.
But on the topic of vidyah games, I think a bottle of wine and Super Mario 1 and 3 go great together.

I used to play Ghost Recon on PS2. Is there a more recent version?
Since we seem to favor vodka, how about violence and bloody mary's? A good way to start off the day, eh?

The other night my drunk friends and my drunk self were saying how they should make a video game, oh sorry, a vidyah game, where the main goal is fucking. Tap A faster for increased speed, move the analog back and forth to hit the G spot with the proper motion, left trigger to tickle the balls (from a women's perspective). It'll be like the next Guitar Hero. If you satisfy your partner, they tell their friends and you get laid more (earn more points), then you can buy upgrades like a penis pump or Viagra, and eventually you are having sex with anybody in the world. The online game would be even better.

I seem to remember that's already been done and subsequently banned in UK ( so you lot must have had it before us).
