A&C Black - the British Publishers of the famous Writers' & Artists' yearbook are hosting a writing competition with £500 prize money for the winner plus a place on the residential Arvon Foundation writing course worth £575.

The competition is open to all for adult stories of 2000 words max. on the subject of Conflict to be emailed to their competition address:

                    competition@a&cblack.com      with 'WAYB09 Competition' on the subject line

                    Closing Date 14th February 2009

The Writers' & Artists' yearbook is the recognised UK directory for all types of writers artists and photographers seeking paying markets for their work. The book includes a very useful section on poetry publication.
